Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to and use of the HostMyLauncher service, offered by Elías Sarutte. They apply both to the person purchasing a subscription and to people who access the service as invited members.

The Spanish version is the controlling version. The English version is a translation; if there is any difference, the Spanish text prevails.

Definitions

For these terms, private endpoints are API endpoints and backend services that require authorization, user credentials, and permissions from a registered account to process a request. The fact that an endpoint requires authorization does not mean that all data it returns is confidential: access to an instance's data and files also depends on its settings.

An instance is a modpack or folder containing resources intended to modify or supplement the Minecraft game.

Provider and scope

HostMyLauncher is the name of the service offered by Elías Sarutte. For questions about these terms, email contact@hostmylauncher.com.

The service may be purchased for personal use or by small groups and is not limited to businesses. These service-use terms apply to everyone who uses the service, including the person purchasing the plan and each invited member who accesses a launcher.

Platform, API, and integration use

HostMyLauncher is intended to distribute files and resources related to Minecraft, such as mods, configurations, and instance content, through clients that prepare or launch Minecraft. It is not a general-purpose file-storage service and is not intended to store personal files, files unrelated to that purpose, backups, secrets, encrypted data, or information that should not be distributed.

The official dashboard at hostmylauncher.com and software distributed from that domain or HostMyLauncher's official repositories at github.com/hostmylauncher are the authorized tools for managing launchers, instances, and their resources. You must not integrate or distribute functionality that uses user credentials to operate private write endpoints or access protected data outside those official flows, unless HostMyLauncher expressly authorizes that use through an official mechanism.

Session tokens are personal access credentials: they must not be made public, distributed, shared among multiple people, or embedded in launchers or third-party software. You must not use tools to let people without the relevant account or permissions access private endpoints, upload files, modify data, create instances, or access protected information.

Do not store files you would be concerned about losing or having accessed by others. The service is intended to distribute game resources and does not provide private storage, backups, or a guarantee that files can be recovered.

Hidden instances do not appear in the public listing, but their public data and file listings can be obtained if their identifier or slug is known. An access-code lock prevents people without the code from obtaining those data and file listings through the API; it does not make files secret or guarantee absolute confidentiality.

File storage and deletion

If a launcher containing hosted files moves to a plan or state with a storage limit of zero, a 30-day grace period begins. During that period, existing files may remain available according to the instance settings, but new files cannot be uploaded if the plan does not allow it. Account or launcher activity and downloads do not extend or reset this period.

If the launcher regains included storage before the period expires, its files are retained. If the 30-day period expires while the storage limit remains zero, all hosted files for that launcher are permanently deleted. They are not moved to a trash or recycle bin, and recovery is not guaranteed. We will notify you by email when the period begins and before it expires, and show notices in the dashboard. Failure to receive or see those notices does not pause the period or prevent deletion.

Purchases and payments processed by Paddle

Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and processes subscription purchases and payments. A purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms. These HostMyLauncher Terms govern use of the service; Paddle's terms govern the purchase transaction.

Plans may be billed monthly or yearly. A yearly plan is charged as one upfront payment. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled. Billing, taxes, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are governed by Paddle's terms and policies and by any mandatory rights that apply.

Plans and subscription changes

Plan features and limits are shown in the plan information. Changes to features, limits, or prices apply to new subscriptions when published. An active subscription retains its current terms and price during the period already paid for; any change for a later period applies at renewal and payment for the next period, subject to applicable law and Paddle's buyer terms.

A change to a higher-tier plan may take effect immediately and result in an immediate prorated charge. If Paddle does not confirm payment, the change is not applied. A change to a lower-tier plan is scheduled for the end of the current billing period, and the new plan price is charged for the next period.

The Free plan is not managed through Paddle. When a paid subscription ends, the launcher automatically moves to the Free plan.

Cancellation

You can cancel in Settings → Billing in HostMyLauncher or through the Paddle customer portal. Cancellation stops renewal and is scheduled for the end of the period already paid for; you keep the plan benefits until that date, after which the launcher moves to the Free plan. See the Cancellation and Refund Policy for instructions and information about refund requests.

Suspension or termination of access

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the service for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, non-payment, fraud or reasonable suspicion of fraudulent or unlawful activity, or a security risk or incident. Where reasonable and legally permitted, we will try to notify you and give you an opportunity to remedy the breach before taking action. We may act without prior notice when necessary to protect the service, its users, or third parties, or to meet legal obligations.

Governing law and language

These terms are governed by the laws of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply in the customer's country of residence. This choice does not limit rights that cannot be excluded by law.

The Spanish version is the controlling version of these terms. The English version is provided as a translation; if there is any difference in interpretation, the Spanish version prevails, without prejudice to applicable mandatory rights.
